Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment unveils 2023 shopping events calendar

Various citywide shopping events and activities are in the pipeline for Dubai residents and visitors throughout 2023, including super sales and extensive promotions.

The events on the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment’s 2023 retail calendar are meant to make the emirate one of the most attractive places in the world for shopping.

CEO of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, Ahmed Al Khaja, said: “The retail calendar encompasses a packed 12 months of seasonal festivals and campaigns that support our thriving retail community and drive sustainable growth. 

“Aligned with the interests of our citizens and residents, the calendar is also tailored to our key inbound business and leisure visitor markets, enabling us to capitalise on the increased footfall we anticipate in Dubai over the coming year.”

Here is the rundown of key shopping events

Dubai Shopping Festival, the region’s longest-running shopping festival, is set to run from December 15 to January 29.

Chinese New Year sales will take place on January 20 -29. This promotion campaign is targetting Chinese visitors and residents to celebrate festivities associated with the start of the Year of the Rabbit.

Spring/summer and Fall/winter collection launch

The launches of the new collections are anticipated to showcase the latest offerings in fashion and boost sales through the support of major and local brands across the city.

The celebrations of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr in Dubai, which run from March 23 to April 27, are dedicated to the Holy months of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr and are celebrated with special family festivities and promotions.

The 3-Day Super Sales is the grandiose shopping event that takes place twice a year. Shoppers should keep their fingers on the pulse not to miss promotions of up to 90 per cent during three days at all malls and shopping venues across Dubai. The exact dates are yet to be revealed.

The Eid Al Adha event in Dubai, scheduled from June 29 to July 9, is also brimmed with exciting deals and events.

For the whole summer, shoppers in Dubai can enjoy the Summer Surprises festival which runs between July 29 and September 3, offering a mix of offers, deals and mega raffles. Dubai Summer Surprises Final Sale features unprecedented offers across leading retail brands in Dubai. In addition, customers get a chance to win prizes across malls across the city.

Dubai Home Festival will be held from October 13 and October 27 to capitalise on Dubai’s burgeoning homeware and interior design sector. Dubai Home Festival is an opportunity for designers and innovators to display their choicest work and for shoppers to hunt for the best deals on furniture, homeware and appliances across the city.

Diwali in Dubai (November 3 – November 16) will feature a wide variety of promotions.

The three-day-long celebration of the  UAE National Day, running between December 1 and 3, is a tribute to the UAE’s continuous unity, featuring a vast array of special retail promotions.
