UK-based streetwear and sneakers consignment boutique PresentedBy opens an immersive store at Riyadh’s U-Walk by Arabian Centres shopping district as part of its expansion in the GCC region.
The store, created by architectural agency External Reference, operates in partnership with the Silkway Company, part of Al Hokair Group.
The premium store includes limited-edition trainers from Yeezy, Supreme, Jordan and Nike. The store also stocks a streetwear apparel range, including jackets, t-shirts, jumpers and high-end sports bags.
The store expects to exhibit collaborative pieces from Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 and Dior x Air Jordan. In addition, customers can also shop for various sports and music-related pieces.
The store’s interior design draws inspiration from the local desert and evokes the oasis atmosphere. Across the multi-sensory retail space, water-like elements are designed as shelves to display ‘grail sneakers’, while digital screens show mock-ups of new pieces.
External Reference’s architect Carmelo Zappulla said: “We want to change the way customers feel when buying a product. It’s like making an exciting discovery. A fluid, sinuous space that drives the customer toward an authentic experience. With this project, we’ve been able to produce a digital Canyon, an emotional landscape that connects the natural Qatar formations with the sneaker culture.”
Established in London in 2017, PresentedBy has made a splash in the world of sneakers and streetwear for its versatile labels and celebrity collaborations.
According to a report by Statista, revenues for the footwear market sector in Saudi Arabia will amount to $2.38 billion this year. The market is set to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 4.69 per cent from 2022-2027.
