Shoppers can win big in DSS’ back-to-school festivities

As part of back-to-school festivities, Dubai Summer Surprises is running the Modesh Scholarship Promotion programme which gives existing and interested students the chance to win AED25,000 in academic fees.

The campaign runs across Nakheel’s Ibn Battuta Mall and Circle Mall until September 4.

Customers who spend at least AED200 at any of the malls’ stores, besides supermarkets, banks and money transfer agencies, are eligible to enter the campaign.

The prize money can be used at schools, universities and for online courses.

Shoppers can enter the campaign by submitting receipts at the malls’ customer service desks.

Also offering shoppers the chance to win prize money in celebration of students’ return to schools is the Dubai Shopping Malls Group.

The group’s Spend and Win promotion runs across Al Bustan Centre, Al Ghurair Centre, Arabian Centre, Al Barsha Centre, Al Quoz Mall, Al Warqa Centre, Bay Avenue Mall, Barsha South Centre, Central Mall, Crown Mall, Dubai Outlet Mall, Etihad Mall, Jebel Ali Mall, Marhaba Mall, Reef Mall, Serena Marketplace, Times Square Centre and Town Mall.

Until September 4, shoppers spending a minimum of AED100 can enter a digital raffle to win between AED5,000 and AED10,000.

In addition, shoppers spend AED100 can win up to AED50,000. Those spending at least AED250 are eligible to win AED30,000. Shoppers who spend over AED350 can win AED20,000.

Winners will be selected on August 28 and September 4.

Dubai Summer Surprises, which is celebrating its silver jubilee, runs until September 4.

Five thousand retail outlets of over 1,000 brands across the city are participating in the event.

“Across the full period, there are so many activities, events and promotions happening that people will not want to leave Dubai for the summer, said Mohammed Feras, director of the retail registration division of the Department of Festivals and Retail Establishment, organiser of Dubai Summer Surprises.
