Deliveroo and Emirates Red Crescent to deliver food boxes across UAE

Deliveroo has partnered with Emirates Red Crescent for the launch of its Full Life campaign, which aims to donate food boxes to communities in need across the UAE.

The campaign, running until October 31, was first launched by Deliveroo in the UK last year as part of its global environmental, social and governance strategy.

Full Life also marks the platform’s efforts to battle food instabilities and support local communities in need across the markets it operates in.

Food boxes are available in five sizes, ranging from AED50 to AED500 in price.

The boxes include varying amounts of essential items, such as rice, wheat, sugar, milk, oils, canned food, pasta, lentils, juice and tea.

“On behalf of Deliveroo, I would like to thank Emirates Red Crescent for joining forces to launch our Full Life campaign in the UAE,” said Anis Harb, general manager of Deliveroo’s operations in the region.

“The Full Life campaign is a global commitment Deliveroo has pledged to, and I am proud to see it launched here in the UAE.

“We’re honoured to extend our platform for the cause as the spirit of donation and kindness has always been, and will continue to be, a leading driver of what we do at Deliveroo.

Emirates Red Crescent will distribute the food boxes to various communities in need across the country, including orphans, widows and low-income individuals and groups.

“This collaboration with Deliveroo is a great way to reach out to the large UAE public looking to assist and support those in need,” said Mohammed Ahmad Al Yammahi, head of preparedness programs at the non-profit organisation.

“We are extremely honoured to be working closely with the team at Deliveroo, and look forward to seeing not just the short-term benefits of the campaign but also the rippling effect of the entire nation coming together in support and making a sizeable impact.”

Shoppers can purchase food boxes on the Deliveroo mobile application or website by navigating to the Emirates Red Crescent page.
