Amazon Prime Day event to run on July 23 and 24 in the UAE

Amazon is hosting its annual Prime Day event in the UAE on July 23 and July 24 for its Prime members, accessible through www.amazon.ae/prime.

Discounts and promotional offers are available across multiple categories, such as electronics, fashion, beauty, kitchen, home, children’s toys and Amazon Devices.

Shoppers can find discounts across numerous international and local brands, including Samsung, Bose, Braun, Nutricook, Black + Decker, LEGO, Philips, and other small- and medium-sized brands.

Shoppers receive free next-day delivery of products where possible, and free same-day delivery of purchases above AED100 if orders are placed before the cut-off time shown on the product information page.

Unregistered customers can join Amazon Prime or sign up for the free Prime trial ahead of the event.

Members of Amazon Prime in the UAE can also avail a 10 per cent discount on Amazon’s Home Services, directly applied at checkout.

The e-commerce giant connects with recognised local providers to offer more than 95 services, including car rentals, home cleaning, beauty, moving, pet grooming and repairs.

Amazon Prime members can also access Prime Video and Prime Gaming.

Shoppers can also capitalise on free delivery of products from Amazon’s UK and US websites, with no minimum purchase amount.

In anticipation of the Prime Day event, Amazon opened its largest delivery station in Abu Dhabi, making it the second largest delivery centre in the country.

With the opening, Amazon promises to refine local talent in the country’s e-commerce industry amid its growing popularity in the region.

Training programmes are available for those pursuing roles as associates and in numerous divisions, such as operations, health and safety, supply chain technology and analytics.

The station has also created more business opportunities for delivery service partners in the country.

Amazon has partnered with other companies operating in the country to offer members further promotions.

For instance, customers can sign up for Deliveroo’s Plus Silver Membership programme to receive free delivery on orders above AED80.

In addition, when registering for Anghami, Amazon Prime members will receive the first six months of the subscription free of the charge and 50 per cent off the next six months.
