Spinneys introduces ‘meal deal’ initiative in Dubai

Spinneys has introduced meal deals to serve its customers in Dubai value-for-money dishes amid the increasing cost of living in the region.

The grocery retailer offers shoppers ‘pick-and mix’ and ‘grab-and-go’ food concepts at 35 branches across the city.

“Spinneys constantly monitors shopping trends and reacts quickly and effectively to customer suggestions and feedback,” said Paul Crawford, commercial manager at Spinneys.

“Innovation is at the heart of Spinneys’ DNA – doing and being the very best is at the core of everything we do.”

Stir-fry combinations that serve two people are available for AED35.

Shoppers can also purchase snacks, sandwiches, salads and hot dishes.

The initiative meets Spinneys’ objective to satisfy consumer demand for accessible and affordable food options of high quality, given the increase in prices of food items.

“We hope our ‘meal deal’ food offerings give people the flexibility to shop conveniently and enjoy healthy, delicious meals at affordable prices,” said Mr Crawford.

Recipes are created by local chefs to support the city’s economy.

In addition, dietary requirements, such as vegan or gluten-free options, are catered for.

In keeping with the grocery retailer’s commitment to sustainability, ingredients are sourced with traceability to ensure healthy eating.

The ‘meal deal’ initiative follows Spinneys joining the UAE’s ‘Food for Life’ campaign last month, which seeks to shift the country towards a healthier diet by improving the sustainability of its food systems.

The campaign meets the UAE government’s objective to halve food waste by 2030 by highlighting the environmental impact of food waste and encouraging shoppers to integrate sustainability into their daily routines.

Spinneys aims to reduce its environmental footprint, work towards a sustainable future and ensure no food worthy of human consumption is wasted.
