Isaia, high-end bespoke menswear brand from Italy, has opened its first store in the Middle East in Kuwait’s Avenues Prestige Mall, in partnership with regional apparel retailer Alyasra Fashion.
The store opening comes amid the increasing demand for luxury menswear in the region.
“The [Gulf Cooperation Council] is a key market for luxury apparel and it was simply a matter of time until we opened our doors to discerning clientele in the region,” said Gianluca Isaia, president and CEO of Isaia.
“Isaia is all about bespoke and crafted luxury inspired by Neapolitan traditions, but more importantly, we are still a family business at heart.
“This has allowed us to retain our rich legacy of tailoring while still delivering contemporary designs.”
Upon recording double-digit growths in American, European and Asian markets, Isaia is looking to expand further into the Middle East’s high-growth markets and intends to open more stores this year.
The brand is launching its first collection of dishdasha, shemagh and sandals, tailored to each country in the region.
“We are delighted to partner with a leading name in the men’s luxury fashion space,” said Bassel Idriss, CMO of Alyasra.
“Isaia blends contemporary designs with its rich tailoring legacy from Napoli to deliver truly outstanding pieces of clothing.
“We are excited that our high-net-worth clients will now have access to a leading luxury Italian label closer to home at our branches in Kuwait and the rest of the GCC.”
Founded in 1920, Isaia offers tailored suiting, knitwear, outwear and accessories carrying the logo of a tiny red coral, the ‘lucky charm’ of the brand’s birthplace and headquarters, Naples.
The brand’s designs have been worn by actors Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise.
