Egypt’s Select signs deal with Fresh Electrics for Home Appliances Co

Select, Egyptian electronics retailer, has signed a cooperation protocol with Fresh Electric for Home Appliances Co., headquartered in the Sharqia Governate, to supply branches with mobile devices and electronics.  

The cooperation is a precursor to Select’s plans to expand to different governates for franchising opportunities and introduce more points of sales to consumers.  

“We are happy to cooperate with Fresh Electric as one of the leaders in the electronics sector as the new cooperation aiming to provide Fresh branches with a wide range of electronics and small appliances such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops and gaming products besides the accessories,” said Ahmed Mostafa Awadallah, chairman and CEO of Select.  

In keeping with Select’s policy of offering its customers a seamless and convenient shopping experience, such as its payment instalment and insurance schemes, its products at Fresh Electric for Home Appliances Co. will be subject to aftersales and maintenance services.  

The country’s electronics sector is estimated to value $2.13 billion by the end of this year and $3.72 billion by 2025, at a compound annual growth rate of 20.35 per cent, according to market data analytics firm Statista.  

“We are proud of all Egyptian industries, which were implemented with Egyptian minds and hands capable of innovation, and our top priority is to support the local industry and spread it through the branches of Fresh,” Mr Awadallah added.  

At present, Select operates 18 branches across Cairo, Giza and Alexandria.
