Hotpack Global, Dubai-based disposable food packaging manufacturer, distributor and retailer, has concluded the first edition of its annual Hotpack Happy Fiesta Project.

Held in the UAE, the programme aims to promote work-life balance and improve employee engagement, aligning with the UAE government’s happiness initiatives.

“Hotpack Global believes that any sustainable business cannot ignore employee happiness and activities such as our ‘Happy Fiesta’ project, will go a long way in bringing a fun element to our workers,” said Abdul Jebbar PB, founder and group managing director of Hotpack Global.

“The project has inspiration from the UAE government and its happiness initiatives under the Ministry of Happiness. The last 27 years of our successful journey would not have been possible without the high level of employee loyalty Hotpack Global has, and the current programme is a celebration of our relationship with our family of workers across the world,” Mr Jebbar PB said.

Happy Fiesta 2022 invited UAE-based employees and their families, and saw 350 employees participating in cultural, knowledge and fine arts items and 500 participating in sports activities.

“The initiative aims to bring the hidden talents of our employees and their family members across various sports, arts and cultural competitions, and a series of workshops,” said Mr Jebbar PB.

“It was a Hotpack Global family get together with the aim of nurturing and rewarding the talents of our employees outside their mandates at the workplace,” he said.

Teams were divided by emirates, with Dubai crowned the winner and Umm Al Quwain named runner-up.

Hotpack Global intends to expand the programme to run across other GCC countries in the coming years.

“The scope of this project is wide when we expand it to other centres, and we are confident that this will add value to our employee welfare activities across the business,” said Mr Jebbar PB.

Founded in 1995, Hotpack Global employs 3,500 employees and operates 43 retail outlets and 13 manufacturing plants across the GCC, India, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Morocco, Nigeria and Australia, catering to the retail and industrial packaging sectors.
