Qatar Duty Free will welcome French high-end luxury brand Louis Vuitton to its retail portfolio at Hamad International Airport in Doha this year.

The store will stock leather goods, textiles, watches, jewellery, accessories, fragrances, shoes and ready-to-wear clothing items, amid Louis Vuitton’s increased attention to travel retail given the rebound in global travel.

The opening follows in the footsteps of luxury brands Valentino, Fendi and Jimmy Choo, and is a continuation of Qatar Duty Free’s ’21 in 21’ expansion plan – opening 21 new stores in 2021 to celebrate its 21st anniversary.

“Qatar Duty Free is constantly expanding its offerings by partnering with a range of luxury brands to provide innovative and memorable experiences for our customers, giving them an experience worth travelling for,” said Thabet Musleh, vice president of Qatar Duty Free.

Last year, the airport recorded 17.7 million passengers, a 41 per cent year-on-year increase from 2020, amid the eased restrictions and rebound in global travel.

As an official partner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Hamad International Airport is expecting more than 58 million passengers during the tournament, with Qatar Duty Free anticipating a growth in its customer base.

Qatar Duty Free spans 40,000 square metres in Hamad International Airport and offers travellers more than 90 luxury and affordable retail outlets, restaurants and cafés.
