Shoppers eye prizes during REDTAG’s Ramadan campaign

REDTAG has launched its #35daysofRamadanKareem campaign across the Middle East, giving shoppers the chance to win cash in raffle draws.

The value fashion and homeware brand’s campaign runs from March 27 to April 30 in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar.

The campaign is the brand’s biggest and will award 25 lucky winners AED5,000 every week during the campaign.

Customers who shop multiple times can enroll after each purchase.

“Unlike national holidays, Ramadan is a festival that the whole region observes and celebrates with devotion and gratitude. So, this Ramadan, we wanted to create a blanket bonanza across the Middle East, touching the lives of every REDTAG shopper in the region,” said Shehbaz Shaikh, the brand’s chief retail officer.

“An internal survey of our platinum customers revealed that there is a propensity towards cash giveaways – which inspired this Ramadan bonanza. As a token of our gratitude to our repeat customers, we have given an opportunity to shop, enrol and win multiple times.”

REDTAG’s loyalty programme, RT Rewards, has 25 million members.

“As a brand that aims to differentiate itself from competition in every customer-facing function, REDTAG has been particularly thoughtful with its offers, raffle draws, giveaways and gifts. We believe brand loyalty is earned; never given. REDTAG has earned it through years of consistent efforts. And I can promise that we will continue to drive meaningful campaigns in the future,” Mr Shaikh said.

On purchases above AED250, shoppers will receive free gifts, such as perfumes.

The campaign follows the launch of REDTAG’s Ramadan fashion and homeware collections.

“Ramadan is the time to reflect, celebrate, give and uphold the spirit of community, said Jitender Advani, head of buying – apparel at REDTAG.

“So, it is only right that our outfits, their colours, styles and energies, reflect the essence of the festival.”

Mohammed Khalid, head of buying – non-apparel at REDTAG, said: “This year, REDTAG has emphasised subtleties, the little things and details that have a profound impact.

“Our selection of decorative knick-knacks as well as scented candles and incense sticks embody the Ramadan spirit. The homeware collection will definitely make the evening gathering of friends and family all the more special and joyous.”
