Carrefour has launched a number of Ramadan promotions in-store and on its e-commerce platforms, from April 2 to May 2.
To accommodate consumer demand during the Holy Month, Carrefour’s supply stock will be increased and discounts of up to 50 per cent will be applied to groceries, homeware, personal care items and electrical appliances.
“Our responsibility as an industry leader is to help protect the purchasing power of our customers and make their lives easier during this busy yet rewarding season,” said Chrisophe Orcet, head of commercial and operations of Carrefour UAE at Majid Al Futtaim’s retail division.
“We are introducing up to 50 per cent offers on more than 10,000 products and we are stacking enough products to fulfil customers’ demand without impacting prices.”
Shoppers can also avail bulk deals on items, discounts on Carrefour’s namesake brand products, giveaways from international brands and shopping vouchers.
Each week will see a new promotion.
In addition, those enrolled in Majid Al Futtaim’s loyalty programme who collect SHARE points will have these doubled on purchases during the Holy Month.
In keeping with Ramadan’s giving spirit, Carrefour has implemented its ‘you donate, we double’ initiative.
Shoppers, either in-store or online, can purchase and donate a meal for AED20 to Emirates Red Crescent. The retailer will then double donations to the humanitarian organisation.
Carrefour’s partnership with Emirates Red Crescent is to achieve the charity’s goal to provide 100,000 meals to those in need, said Mr Orcet.
“Ramadan is an opportunity for us to unite and give back to our communities, which is why at Carrefour, we plan to double your charitable donations and contribute 100,000 meals to families in need across the UAE.”
