Largest Géant hypermarket opens in Dubai neighbourhood mall

French supermarket chain Geant has opened its largest hypermarket, located at Dubai Hills Mall

This is Geant’s 12th store in the UAE.

The branch boasts ‘smart’ refrigerator and freezer doors, with embedded digital screens, meaning shoppers don’t need to open doors to see what’s on sale.

The screens also serve as in-store billboards, detailing store information and discounts.

The Dubai Hills branch also offers a comprehensive layout.

Instead of washing machines standing alongside other home appliances, they can be found in the laundry section, beside detergents.

The baby and child section stocks baby food, baby clothes and baby bath products all in one area.

“From our themed departments to a dedicated candy section, clothing and electronics, kitchen gadgets and organic food items, each one has something different to offer,” said Mark Anthony Lack, CEO of the hypermarket’s operator Urban Foods.

“We see it vital that customers look on us as a one stop shop replete with new options and experiences yet offering a select but also eclectic range of quality goods,” he said.

“For this 12th Geant opening and keeping in mind the location and the discerning clientele that resides in the vicinity, we have designed the premises and sourced the products to reflect their lifestyle and needs.”

Alongside the opening, Geant launched its delivery service, Your store to Your door, in line with the hypermarket’s mission to establish customer loyalty with their ‘come back again’ concept.

The Dubai Hills Mall branch also houses the hypermarket’s first in-store café, Maison Marguerite, complete with a fresh deli counter, a bakery offering breads, pastries and salads and a cosy seating area.
