Apple has opened its second store in Abu Dhabi at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island.

This is Apple’s fourth store in the UAE – outlets are also located in Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.

In homage to Apple’s iconic New York boutique, Al Maryah Island’s store features glass walls on all sides, while ficus trees line the interior.

Speaking ahead of the opening on Friday, February 25, Apple said: “Al Maryah Island will have a front-row view of the waterfront promenade and will be a home for customers to explore their creativity, discover new products, and receive the best support from the new retail team.”

The branch employs 80 members of staff from 28 countries.

Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of retail and people, said: “We’re celebrating the grand opening of Apple Al Maryah Island, bringing together a team that speaks more than 30 languages in a stunning new space.

“This fantastic store invites visitors to discover our latest products and find the support that they need for the devices they own. Since we opened our first Apple store in UAE in 2015, we have welcomed nearly 30 million visitors.”

Last month, Apple announced doubling the size of its Yas Mall outlet.

“With the opening of the newly expanded Apple Yas Mall, our team is ready to welcome even more of Abu Dhabi’s incredibly diverse and innovative community to this beautiful new space,” Ms O’Brien said.

The UAE is Apple’s second-largest market in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia.
